This is an undergraduate specialized course in Allied Health Science. It is a 3 year Full Time undergraduate course with one year ROTATORY compulsory internship.
It is concerned with :
Procedures for diagnosis and treatment with the employment of imaging technology (X RAY, ULTRASOUND, CT SCAN, MRI SCAN).
This profession requires good technological expertise.
Radiographers work in departments which deal with accident and emergency cases, intensive care unit and operation theatre.
They are also used in giving treatment to cancer patients.
Human Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology relevant to Radiology.
General Physics, Radiation Physics & Physics of Diagnostic Radiology
Radiography Equipments, Maintenance and Quality Control related to Xray only.
Xray Film / Image processing Techniques including Dark Room Techniques.
Contrast & Special Radiography procedures.
Equipments of Advanced Imaging Modalities
Modern Imaging Techniques and Recent Trends in Imaging
Quality Control, Radiobiology & Radiation Safety in Radiodiagnosis / Imaging otherthan Xray related.
